🕊️ Walk for Life | January 31 🕊️
On January 31, Lindsay Academy had the privilege of taking a group of our junior high students who are preparing for Confirmation to the Walk for Life held at the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln.
Earlier this month, our students were deeply impacted by a powerful talk from Barb McPhillips, former Nebraska Right to Life board president, who spoke to them about the importance of the pro-life movement. Her words truly inspired and motivated our students to take part in this meaningful experience.
Lindsay Academy students joined together with Lindsay Holy Family Parish Confirmation students and adult sponsors, standing alongside hundreds of others in this peaceful and moving demonstration for life. Throughout the day, we heard from lawmakers, listened to Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen, and attended the keynote address by Nick Freitas following the walk.
After such an uplifting and insightful day, we stopped for pizza on the way home. During our meal, the students shared thoughtful and inspiring reflections on what they learned and how the experience impacted them—an incredible reminder of the hope found in the next generation.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the generous individuals from Holy Family Parish who sponsored our meal and provided gas money. Your support made this experience possible.
We truly hope—and pray—that our students are the pro-life generation, and that we may live to see a time when abortion is unthinkable and every life is respected and cherished. 💙

✨ Catholic Schools Week at Lindsay Academy ✨
Here at Lindsay Academy, we joyfully join our brothers and sisters in faith across the nation in celebrating Catholic Schools Week. Our mission is rooted deeply in the teachings of the Catholic Church, and we strive to live those teachings every day—through service, prayer, learning, and community.
📅 Monday, January 26th – Service to Others:
We kicked off the week with a meaningful community service project, helping the Lindsay Fire and Rescue Department by washing fire trucks and ambulances and organizing supplies. Our students served with joyful hearts, and we were humbled by the gratitude shown to them.
“Faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.” — James 2:17
📅 Tuesday, January 27th – Prayer & Adoration:
We were blessed to spend time at Holy Family Church, praying the Rosary together and entering into quiet adoration before the Blessed Sacrament—a beautiful opportunity to slow down, listen, and rest in the presence of Christ.
“Remain in me, as I remain in you.” — John 15:4
📅 Wednesday, January 28th – Formation in Faith:
We joyfully welcomed our presenter Jill, who worked with our sophomores, juniors, and seniors on developing their Personal Christian Manifesto—a collection of faith-filled statements grounded in their personal relationship with God. This powerful exercise gives students a place to return when they are troubled or uncertain, helping them refocus on who they are, why they believe, and how God is guiding their journey. Thank you Jill and Rose for spending time with our students in prayer and spiritual growth.
“Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works.” — Hebrews 10:24
📅 Thursday, January 29th – Community & Joy:
As a school family, we enjoyed time together with snacks and a movie, celebrating the simple joy of fellowship and shared laughter.
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice!” — Philippians 4:4
📅 Friday, January 30th – Gratitude & Hope:
Although illness in our community required us to postpone our Family and Community Luncheon with Holy Family Elementary, we remain grateful and look forward to gathering at a later date.
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18
As we head into the weekend, our hearts are full of gratitude—for the sacrifices made by our families and community, for the gift of Catholic education, and for the fruits we pray our students will carry into the world.
💙 Thank you for being part of the Lindsay Academy family.

What a beautiful and faith-filled day at Lindsay Academy! ✨
Yesterday, January 8th, we were blessed to welcome Father Dave back to our school as he performed the Epiphany blessing over our school. With the help of our students, he led the Epiphany chalk blessing, filling our halls with prayer, joy, and tradition. Father Dave is truly a gift to our community. His encouraging words, joyful humor, and deep love for Jesus help our students learn not only the history of the Church, but also the heart of our faith. We are profoundly grateful for his unwavering support and guidance since the very beginning of Lindsay Academy.
To close out the day, our teams enjoyed strong competition against Scotus Central Catholic High School, ending the evening the best way we know how—with fellowship and prayer, grateful for sportsmanship, community, and shared faith.
Days like these remind us who we are and why we do what we do. 💙

Today, the Lindsay Academy Landscape Design class showcased their model of the future landscape surrounding our community buildings. This project allowed students to apply their creativity along with architectural and horticulture skills. Students designed their landscapes using scale and incorporated technology by creating 3D models.

Lindsay Academy students also witnessed the ribbon cutting for the new Lindsay Event Center. This vital space for community gatherings highlights what our town can accomplish through hard work and dedication, serving as an inspiring example for our students.

Thank you to Grace’s Coffee Co. for allowing our students to enjoy a cup of coffee this morning! ☕️
