Teacher Appreciation ~ Mrs. Nicole Trautman

We’re excited to launch a new fundraiser to support our robotics program and classes through an ink cartridge recycling initiative! You can help by collecting and donating used (undamaged) inkjet and toner cartridges. See the attached flyer for a list of accepted brands and details.
Drop-Off Information:
Cartridges can be placed in the designated collection box outside the Lindsay Public Library doors. Donations may be dropped off:
During the school day (Door #1)
During public library hours (Door #2)
During FCA Fitness Center staffed hours (Door #3)
If you're a member, you can drop off at anytime!
Want to make an even bigger impact?
Consider reaching out to your workplace or other local businesses and ask them to save their used cartridges. This is a great way to multiply your support!
If a business is interested or needs help coordinating a pickup, feel free to share my contact information. I’d be happy to connect with them:

🌟 Staff Appreciation Week at Lindsay Academy 🌟
This week, we are proud to celebrate the incredible team that makes Lindsay Academy such a special place. Each day, we will highlight the dedicated individuals who serve our students and community:
Monday – Administration
Tuesday – Teachers & Counselor
Wednesday – Support Staff
Thursday – Cooking Staff
Friday – School Board
We are deeply grateful for every member of our team. Together, we have built something truly special. In a small, rural community, the work is not always easy—yet our staff continues to make daily sacrifices to be here, serving with passion, faith, and commitment.
We truly believe this is the team God has brought together, each person placed here at this moment to do great things for our students and our school.
If you see any of our staff out in the community this week, please take a moment to thank them and recognize their hard work in making Lindsay Academy the great school it is.
💙 Thank you for all you do!

Stations of the Resurrection – All Are Welcome!
Every Friday during the Easter Season at 2:50 PM, our students will lead the Stations of the Resurrection, and we warmly invite everyone to join us!
The Stations of the Resurrection (also known as the Way of Light, Via Lucis in Latin) is a beautiful Catholic devotion for the Easter Season. While we reflect on Christ’s Passion and Death during Lent through the Stations of the Cross, this devotion invites us to meditate on the joyful events from Easter Sunday through Pentecost.
Through 14 stations, we journey with the Risen Christ—celebrating His victory over sin and death, His appearances to the disciples, and the gift of new life.
✨ The joy of Easter begins now—a whole season celebrating the Risen Lord!
Come pray with us and experience the hope and light of the Resurrection. 😇

We are excited to announce that Lindsay Academy was awarded a grant by the Nebraska Environmental Trust for the purchase of a greenhouse. We are in the planning stages and need your help!!
We are looking for volunteers interested in helping with the different site prep and construction of the greenhouse building (once it arrives).
There are additional materials needed that we would be accepting donations for such as: railroad ties for the foundation base, cinder blocks, gravel, and either 50lb or 100lb propane tanks. Additionally, once the greenhouse is up we would gratefully accept hoses, small hand tools along with lumber or other building materials to build benches and shelving.
We would like to thank NET for the grant funding and prior grant funding from FCSA. Lindsay Academy was awarded a grant through the Nebraska Environmental Trust (NET) to fund the purchase of a greenhouse with funding also provided by grants from Farm Credit Services of America (FCSA) for agricultural education and hands-on learning opportunities.
The scope of this project will include the purchase and construction of a greenhouse to be used by the Science and FFA programs to implement educational opportunities while advancing sustainability and environmental health. The facility will function as a sustainability resource for our high school and a living laboratory. It will provide students with experiential learning in plant science, agriculture, environmental stewardship, while advancing the school’s commitment to healthier learning environments and community well-being.
If you would like to be added to the list of volunteers or would like to learn more about the items that are still in need to make this project successful, please email Danielle Herchenbach dherchenbach@lindsay.esu7.org or call the school at 531-345-3010.
